YFG Creative Studio ("YFG", "we", "us") is a product and go-to-market studio based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We run this website, yfgcreativestudio.com.

02What this policy covers
This policy covers personal information we collect through this website, when you contact us, and when you buy from our shop. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Our ventures, including InfraHub.ca, Insomnia ERP, DeyPlay NG and F9WL, run their own websites with their own privacy policies.
03Information we collect
We collect as little as we need.
- When you contact us. Your name, email address and anything you include in your message.
- When you buy from us. The details needed to complete your order, such as your name, email address and what you bought. Payments are handled by our store or payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
- When you visit. Like most websites, our hosting servers record basic technical data, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and when you visited. This keeps the site secure and working.
- How you use the site. With your consent, Google Analytics collects information about your visit, such as the pages you view, how long you stay, how you arrived and your approximate location. This tells us what's working so we can improve the site. It doesn't tell us who you are.
- If you subscribe. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address and, if you share it, your name.
04How we use your information
- To reply to your messages and requests.
- To deliver the products you buy and support you afterwards.
- To keep the website secure and prevent spam and abuse.
- To understand how people use the website, through analytics, and improve it.
- To send our newsletter, if you subscribe.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use it to build advertising profiles. We only send marketing emails if you've asked for them, and you can opt out at any time.
06Services we rely on
We use a small number of trusted providers to run this website. They may only use your information to provide their services to us.
- Website hosting. Our host stores the website and its server logs.
- Google Fonts. To display our typefaces, your browser loads fonts from Google's servers, which receive your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics. Measures how the site is used, if you consent. Google processes this data under its privacy policy.
- Email. Messages you send us are stored by our email provider.
- Mailchimp. If you subscribe to our newsletter, your details are stored by Mailchimp, which sends our emails. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Shop and payments. Orders are processed by our store platform and payment provider under their own privacy terms.
- Spam protection. Automated tools may check submissions to block spam.
08Where your data is stored
We're based in Canada, but some of our providers store data in other countries, including the United States. Information stored outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its authorities. We choose providers that take appropriate care of your data.
09How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it:
- Messages for as long as needed to respond and keep a record of our conversation.
- Order records for as long as Canadian tax and accounting rules require.
- Server logs for a short period, as set by our hosting provider.
- Analytics data for up to 14 months, after which Google deletes it.
- Newsletter details until you unsubscribe.
After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.
10How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including secure HTTPS connections, limiting access to the people who need it, and working with reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but if a breach ever affects your information, we'll act quickly and notify you where the law requires.
11Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law, you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
- Ask us to correct information that's wrong or incomplete.
- Withdraw your consent, subject to legal or contractual limits.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need.
To make a request, email hello@yfgcreativestudio.com. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
12Children
This website is meant for adults. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, contact us and we'll delete it.
13Links to other websites
Our website links to our ventures and other sites. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them, and we're not responsible for how they handle your information.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll make that clear here.
